East Sussex County Council is currently consulting on introducing a booking system for the 10 household refuse sites in East Sussex. This will obviously affect the refuse site at Cradle Hill in Seaford and the one in Newhaven. The idea is you book a specified time slot when you will visit.
The proposal will include:
- the ability to book visits on the same day
- bookings via website, mobile applications and telephone
- the ability to visit multiple times in one day to help with busy times, e.g. moving house
However, if these proposals go through it appears you will no longer be able to turn up without prior arrangement.
