There is a second confirmed sewage discharge today, 6th September, at Newhaven which is affecting the bathing waters in Seaford.
The first discharge started at 07:05 and ended at 08:22. The second discharge started at 10:09 and is still ongoing at point of posting this article 13:35.
As mentioned in the post relating the the sewage discharge from Cliff End Seaford yesterday Southern Water allow 72 hours to pass before they say water is ‘non-impacted‘ to allow any pathogens to disappear.
