- guided walks on beautiful chalk grassland
- mindfulness
- wild art
- conservation
- history
- plenty of cups of tea
- and most importantly a supportive group.
There will be a free mini bus from Newhaven.
Places are prioritised for adults in the coastal towns between Peacehaven to Eastbourne. This group is run in partnership with The National Trust.
Please note that the majority of our activities will be accessible to those with moderate mobility. However, there are some steep slopes and uneven ground so this group will unfortunately not be accessible to wheelchair users or those who need assistance with walking. Please talk to us if you are unsure about taking part due to mobility issues. Participants will need to wear sturdy shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. We may be able to offer some assistance with sourcing outdoor clothing for those who need this – please note this in your application form.
Growing New Roots is part of #changingchalk led by National Trust, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
