On July 4th a 36 foot yacht carrying a lone sailor crashed into the harbour wall at Newhaven breaking up on impact. An incredible rescue operation involving several rescue organisations began. An heroic paramedic lowered down on a winch from the Coastguard helicopter battled against the most challenging of circumstances to rescue the sailor.
