BHASSEXPLORE and the Green Sock Movement

Beachy Head and Seven Sisters Extreme Plastic Objects Removal

You may have seen the name BHASSEXPLORE but are you aware of the important work they do?

BHASSEXPLORE have made it their mission to remove as much plastic and manmade debris and junk from our amazing coastline as they can.

The stretch of coast between Seaford and Eastbourne is a special place for marine wildlife, geological wonders and a truly tranquil space that should be honoured and protected.

Plastics, foams and styrenes from every boat and ship, from every stream and river, from every beach along the South Coast and the English Channel ends up here, trapped and ensnared in the coves and on the rocks, deposited by super high tides and storms, trapped against the ever more frequent cliff falls. Some of this manmade pollutant, one that we are all involved in to some extent or another, along with tonnes of fishing industries equipment, is up to fifty years old and slowly breaking down into smaller and smaller parts into what should be a pristine environment.

Green Sock Movement

Be a Green Sock Movement Hero.

An international, one planet #greensockmovement is being launched by BHASSEXPLORE as a trend for people to share their environmental good deeds. Deeds completed by good people who, with positive energy, gave their time, labour and skills freely for the environment. This can be anywhere on this world, whilst wearing green socks…. (or at least one green sock).

To showcase just what a group of environmentally conscious individuals can achieve when they focus and pool their abilities please don a pair of your snazziest, greenest, sockiest socks and snap yourself at your environmental endeavour.
