Nature in Seaford urgently needs our help.
Have your say on the Local Nature Recovery Strategy.

Survey closes on 30th June 2024

As England is widely considered to be one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world following historic and ongoing declines the Government has appointed 48 responsible authorities to lead on preparing a local nature recovery stategy for their area.

Each Local Nature Recovery Strategy will be specific and tailored to its area. The responsible authorities involved in preparing a strategy can choose how they want to it to look, but every strategy must contain a local habitat map and a written statement on biodiversity priorities.

Seaford falls within the East Sussex, Brighton and Hove Local Nature Recovery Strategy.

There is currently a survey being conducted to enable residents to have a say on what is important in their area. The answers to the survey will inform the priorities for nature in this area.

This is your opportunity to ensure the areas of Seaford important to you are included whether that is Hope Gap, South Hill Barn, Last Wood, Tide Mills etc.
