Mercread Youth Centre was established to support and empower local young people by providing a safe space for them to socialise and engage in a range of positive activities that promote well-being and personal/social development.

We host weekly sessions:
Mondays 3.30pm to 5.30pm for 11-13-year-olds
Tuesdays 6.00pm to 8.00pm for 14-16-years-olds.
Mercread Youth Centre provides a regular safe space where young people can socialise outside of school; which helps to relieve boredom and isolation. Our team of trusted youth workers help young people by offering a relaxation/chill-out area; alongside various activities such as sports, music, arts and crafts and our most popular one: cooking and baking! A meal is also provided during each session and our sessions are completely free of charge.
Mercread Youth Centre is managed by a team of volunteer trustees and hires a part-time centre manager and an amazing team of qualified and experienced youth workers. The team is DBS checked and trained in Safeguarding and Health & Safety.
Our youth centre is situated in Mercread Road, Seaford BN25 3JB
